This hearty casserole full of classic flavours is the perfect comfort food on a chilly day. It’s packed with beef, bacon, shallots, carrots and mushrooms, which are slowly braised in a rich red-wine stock. Serve with mashed potatoes and simple steamed gree
Ingredients

  • 175 g Streaky bacon
Produce
  • 12 Baby carrots
  • 100 g Button mushrooms
  • 4 tbsp Parsley, fresh
  • 1/2 tsp Provencal herbs, dried
  • 12 Shallots, small
Canned Goods
  • 300 ml Beef stock
Condiments
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Baking & Spices
  • 1 tbsp Plain flour
Oils & Vinegars
  • 1 tbsp Sunflower oil
Beer, Wine & Liquor
  • 300 ml Red wine

  • 2 X 400g packs diced beef
